The Kelly Clarkson Source staff would like to wish Kelly a happy (late) birthday! Kelly was born April 24, and has just turned 27. She’s been rocking out loud for the last seven years, and we hope that she had tons of fun during her birthday!

On another note, if you haven’t heard already, the music video for Kelly’s new video, I Do Not Hook Up has been released. It has already been released on her official channel on Youtube, and we are still currently waiting for the purchase in stores such as iTunes.

I watched the day it came out (which coicidentally was her birthday). It took me a while to figure it out, but if you want me to ruin it for you…

At the beginning of the video, Kelly is at a high society party, where the old man in the head chair is making jokes about those who don’t have blue blood. She notices the waiter and starts singing. I don’t think that she references “put the bottle down” with the fact that he did a trick with the champagne, it was probably a visual way to represent it. She closes her eyes and dreams that he walked over to her, and then she suddenly flings him on the table and starts kissing him, the shock visible on everyone’s faces. But then she snaps out of it, and the guy next to her is saying something about strawberries. The next scene, Kelly seems to be younger, with straight hair and she’s at a club. She notices this guy playing pool and sings about him. She starts to dream about him, and rather than taking him like the waiter she goes crazy, drinking a lot and dancing on tables. At one point she falls, but she gets back up and starts singing. She catches the pool guy’s attention. But before anything happens she wakes up from her dream.
