Just in time for season 9 of American Idol, the original Idol Kelly Clarkson has joined Twitter. And fear not Kelly fans, this is no impostor, Kelly’s Twitter account has been confirmed as legit by her manager and the singer’s blog.

You can find the “Since U Been Gone” singer at @ Kelly_Clarkson. The original idol only has two Tweets so far, and she says she “make no promises, that I will say anything worth reading.” But we’ll be following avidly anyway.

Hopefully the original Idol takes some time to share her thoughts on this season of Idol hopefuls.

    Not sure u will read this Kelly, but I hope u can help me. My son, Andrew, worked ur concert in Pensacola,FL (loved it)..He met a stage manager with u, named Harold (who works for Claire Show Pro) Harold gave Andrew his contact info coz of poss job..Andrews phone was stolen. needs to call Harold..if u can help,I would appreciate it. Karen
