I added two new pictures from yesterday’s concert. On youtube you can watch a video from this evening, she did great!
Kelly also took part in Reba concert on October 15th! She sang with Reba “Because Of You”, “Walk Away” and “Why Haven’t I Heard From You”. The show again was simply amazing! Here are some pictures:
Warning: Do not mess with Kelly Clarkson. Especially if she’s signing your paycheck.
The American Idol fave has never been one to reserve judgment, and that clearly extends to her band members, as evidenced by this newly unearthed video from a 2005 performance, during which she fired her guitar player, Dwayne Larring, after he apparently made a rude gesture to the audience. Which Clarkson clearly wasn’t having any of.
Check out how Clarkson cans him, mid-song, without missing a beat, and even incorporates the sacking into the lyrics.
And then Clarkson gets really mean, delivering a spiel about Larring to the audience before dedicating “Breakaway” to his newly unemployed behind. Wow.Donald Trump clearly has nothing on this chick.
Kelly hosted a music show on MTV named “NewNowNext PopLab” yesterday on the Logo channel. Morgan from MTV was kind enough to send in the video’s for us to view! Click the link below or click the preview to check out Kelly’s story about “All I Ever Wanted”, her favorite artists and her upcoming tour. Enjoy!
Kelly just updated her YouTube with a new Vlog during her travels. She just wanted to give a shout out to one of her friends’ birthday and show the fans her new hair color, which is red and fabulous!
Here’s another video she just posted where she’s golfing with her friends. Enjoy!
97.9 KISS FM sent us a link if the NYC private concert that happened two weeks ago. Half of the songs she performed are available to watch. Click the picture to check it out!
Remember how in an earlier post I mentioned Kelly having a small concert at an NYC venue? I was able to go there as a guest of someone who won tickets, and I have to say that, that was probably the best concert experience I’ll ever get in my life. The venue was small, and from wherever you were (though I was at the front) you could hear clearly and it was definitely loud. Many people were singing along – and it’s not just screaming here and there, people were actually singing along to the concert.
Here’s what a press article from one of the sponsors, iheartradio, wrote about the concert:
The crowd included fans who had seen her live before, and when they begged her to sing Janet Jackson’s “If,” she obliged – offering the disclaimer that she had only done that song twice and this was unplanned and unrehearsed. But “who doesn’t love Janet Jackson!?” It may have been unrehearsed and rough around the edges, but that only made it feel more raw.
She played all the favorites – “Breakaway,” “Because of You,” and no Kelly Clarkson show would be complete without the infectious and quintessential “Since U Been Gone.”
Her last ballad of the night was the next single, “Already Gone,” a heartbreaking song she penned with OneRepublic’s Ryan Teder, before she closed the show with “My Life Would Suck Without You.”
Simon Cowell should be proud of the superstar that was born out of reality television 7 years ago. And where Kelly Clarkson is concerned, no Idol will ever come close to comparing to the original.
I do have pictures and videos – my own personal footage, but I’ll upload those later. At the moment, I’ve got the official press stuff (there’s a lot actually, and I’m working to get them).
There’s also videos from the concert available on Youtube thanks to crazyxforever. She’s still uploading videos – so I recommend just checking on them to see what else comes up.
Alternative titles to this post included: “So You Think You Can Dance: Books a Musical Guest Who Can Actually Sing,” “So You Think You Can Dance Musical Guest: With 100% Less Lip Syncing,” “So You Think You Can Dance: Keeping It In The Fox Family.”
Courtesy of a Fox press release we learn that this week’s musical guest will be Kelly Clarkson. Or as I like to call her, someone with actual musical talent. Sure, she was discovered by FOX’s other hit reality show, American Idol, which makes it seem a bit cross-promotional but there’s no denying: Kelly Clarkson can sing. Kelly will perform her new hit “I Do Not Hook Up” and hopefully, unlike the other musical guests this season, she will actually sing.
While Kelly will be this week’s musical guests, professional dancers Desmond Richardson and Patricia Hachey will perform a Pas de Deux as this week’s guest dancers. You may remember Desmond Richardson for the lovely Pas de Deux he choreographed for Katee Shean and Will Wingfield last season.
Also, more news on Kelly’s new video. Joseph Kahn is the director, and its not known yet when the video will be premiered.
That could all change with her upcoming third single, “Already Gone,” written by Clarkson herself and produced by Ryan Tedder. While the song may resemble listeners of Beyonce’s “Halo” in the opening riff, what will overpower those comparisons is Clarkson’s likeability factor as well as heartbreaking lyrics. Tedder co-wrote both tracks. However, Clarkson had lyrically written her version while Beyonce barely had a hand in it after “demanding” a track like Clarkson’s. Kelly Clarkson’s penned song is a tear-jerking ballad with haunting vocals of having to leave someone. “Already Gone” sums up a previous relationship Clarkson had where it just couldn’t and wouldn’t work, no matter what road they took, someone of the two had to leave and it would be her. It had to be her more so because of her high profile career that prohibits her from making enough time for a relationship.
