Kelly Clarkson is no stranger to success. She got her start from winning the very first season of American Idol back in 2002. You know that one show that surprisingly has stayed the #1 show despite its seven judge changes through its ten years on the air? Her first single, the double a-side “A Moment Like This/Before Your Love”, stayed at number one for two weeks breaking The Beatles’ record for biggest leap to the top spot jumping from 52-1. This record was broken once more by her 2009 single “My Life Would Suck With You”, jumping from 97-1 and staying there two weeks. The latter being the only number-one song by an AI alumni which was not connected to the show itself.
On the album charts she has maintained great success too. Her five studio albums have debuted and peaked in the top three, including two number one albums. This includes her latest, Stronger, which debuted behind Coldplay at number two this past October.
But breaking records and being labeled the best-selling reality-contestant worldwide is not what makes Kelly. It is her charisma, simplicity, and power vocals which define her. This is all best seen live.
Clarkson is set to embark on her seventh tour, starting on January 13th, 2012 in Connecticut, ending on April 12th, 2012 in California. So far this is seen as the first leg of the tour, alluding to additional dates. The first leg will make forty stops, and the stage will be shared with opening act Matt Nathanson.
ATLANTIC CITY, New Jersey — (PRESS RELEASE) — Trump Taj Mahal Casino Resort and Live Nation present Kelly Clarkson in the Mark G. Etess Arena on Sunday, January 15 at 7:30pm.
Clarkson first appeared on the public’s radar in 2002 when she won the first season of American Idol. Since then Kelly has become an international pop icon, selling over 20 million albums worldwide and notching seven singles on the Top 10, Billboard Hot 100 chart, including “Miss Independent,” “Since U Been Gone,” “Walk Away,” “Never Again,” and “Mr. Know It All” from her latest album, ‘Stronger.’
When developing ‘Stronger’, Clarkson was influenced by Tina Turner, Prince, Sheryl Crow, and Radiohead. “The whole album is very much about strength and empowerment, so ‘Stronger’ felt like the perfect title,” Clarkson says. “Plus the title song “Stronger” is just a gold mine — it’s a little bit pop, a little bit pop-rock, a little bit urban, a little bit dance, and it ties everything in. And everybody loves that message. ‘What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger.’ It’s a perfect representation of my life.”

I appologise about the delay in the caps for What Doesn’t Kill You (Stronger) music video, we had a minor issue with the site, firstly we needed more space, and for some reason I couldn’t get stuff to dlete or change on the site. But anyhow it is all fixed now, I will get them up tomorrow, I’m a little exhausted from Christmas.
Which leads me onto this, Merry Christmas to everyone, I hope you all stay safe, and you all have a blast. I say stay safe because road fatalities are so high in the Christmas season, if you are traveling anywhere, please take care, we cannot make another you.
Kelly brought the heat last night with the best of the best on VH1’s Divas. Kelly opened the show with Jennifer Hudson and Mary J. Blige performing a rendition of their hit singles, as well as a performance of her new single “(Stronger) What Doesn’t Kill You”. Kelly also teamed up with Ledisi for their version of “Chain Of Fools”. Check out Kelly on the red carpet here and watch the full performances below!

I will be capping this as soon as I get back from Christmas shopping. Sorry for the halt again on updates, I have spent the last feew weeks helping my family clean out my grandmas house, so it’s been an emotional time, for those who don’t know my grandma passed unexpectedly in late August. It’s closure though, I did get a beautiful crystal duchess set, I have something to remember her by. 2012 is a new year, and hopefully I won’t have any more interruptions.

MTV.com’s POSTED Artist for November Kelly Clarkson has already offered fans tons of insider info. We’ve learned about her favorite song from her new album, Stronger, and we even got some scoop on potential career aspirations. Now we get the ultimate lowdown with a sneak at her new “VH1 Divas Celebrates Soul” photo. She’s also letting us in on some of her favorite movies — Hint: They’re comedies. Because she’s the best.
First up, let Kelly Clarkson in a sequined tank get you revved up for “VH1 Divas Celebrates Soul” (as only sequins can). The event pays homage to soul music, and judging by the gorgeousness of Clarkson’s pic, we can expect an equally stunning performance. The evening also includes powerful performances from Mary J. Blige, Jennifer Hudson, Jill Scott and Florence + The Machine. “VH1 Divas Celebrates Soul” airs Dec. 19 at 9 p.m. ET on VH1.
Next up, a video clip has Kelly dishing on where she gets her sense of humor — from hilarious movies! “I always quote ‘Dumb & Dumber’… that and ‘Talladega Nights’!” The singer giggles through some of her favorite movie moments, and fans even get a few reenactments of the movies’ most quotable lines (hilarious gestures, free of charge). She insists that her impersonations don’t do the flicks justice, but we beg to disagree.
Catch much more Kelly videos and photos over at Posted.MTV.com all month long!
On the 17th Kelly’s recorded session with VH1 will air. However lucky for us, two of the 5 song set list have made themselves known online and you can watch her perform What Doesn’t Kill You (Stronger) and a cover of Carrie Underwood’s I Know You Won’t. Both are amazing. As soon as I finish the gallery re-organization I will get these into the brand new media archive:
What Doesn’t Kill You (Stronger)
I Know You Won’t
Sorry for the lack of updates, finally my messy uni is over for the year, normally uni does not interrupt me updating sites, but as I explained a few posts back, I had a death in the family and it has caused uni to really kick me around, so I had to focus on it. But it is over with and updates are resuming as per normal.
