Here’s what motivates tennis player Serena Williams before a match! Kelly Clarkson.
Buzz up!Rocky theme ‘Eye Of The Tiger’ has long been an anthem for pre-match rev-ups and other sport stars prefer heavy rap or rock.
But it seems Williams likes Clarkson’s inoffensive and upbeat pop-rock, reports the Daily Telegraph.
It has been reported that Clarkson’ s 2008 hit ‘My Life Would Suck Without You’ lights Williams’ fire but she also likes cooler acts.
Kelly Clarkson wants to get involved with a charity single being recorded to raise money for Haiti.
The single – a cover version of REM’s ‘Everybody Hurts’, which is being put together by Simon Cowell – already has a stack of big names involved in the project, including Leona Lewis, Mariah Carey and Miley Cyrus. And now the ‘My Life Would Suck Without You’ singer wants to lend her support for the fund raiser.
Clarkson told the Daily Star: “I didn’t even know about Simon’s song until today. But it sounds like it’s gonna be one of those tearjerkers. I only got back from holiday this week but I’d love to do something to help.”
Kelly twittered today that she won’t be performing and attending the Grammy Awards because she is touring overseas. =’( Follow her @ http://twitter.com/kelly_clarkson if you haven’t done that already
AMERICAN Idol champ Kelly Clarkson can’t wait to party in her favourite city, Manchester.
The My Life Would Suck Without You star kicks off a six-date UK tour next month and loves the grit, rain and famous Mancunian sense of humour. Kelly Clarkson, 27, told me: “Manchester is one of my favourite places to play.
“For some reason those people there are really rad and go nuts. They are easily my best audience.
“This will be the first tour where I get some time off in between shows so I plan to check out the city properly.”
Although her feet have hardly touched the ground these past 12 months she has still found time to make new music. “I’m writing and recording new songs,” she said. “I’ve written a ton with a bunch of songwriters I haven’t written with before.
“It’s turning out differently, like nothing I’ve released before. Some of it is very 80s influenced and some of it is singer/songwriter.”
But one thing she doesn’t want is a big name producer. She admitted: “I don’t like working with people who have worked with everyone.
“Sometimes I get blackmailed into doing so by my label, but I prefer collaboring with people who aren’t on the grid. I don’t want to sound exactly like other people’s records.”
Before she kicks off her latest tour, she hopes former nemesis Simon Cowell, 50, gets her involved in his star-studded Haiti quake charity single.
Kelly told me: “I didn’t even know about Simon’s song until today. But it sounds like it’s gonna be one of those tearjerkers. I only got back from holiday this week but I’d love to do something to help.” And she believes Simon leaving American Idol won’t harm the show.
“It’s the biggest TV show ever in the States,” she said. “A lot of the housewives will miss him but the show will go on.” Catch Kelly live across the UK from February 7, kicking off in Manchester.

Kelly Clarkson is finally finished with what seemed like nonstop touring for her last album, All I Ever Wanted, and she’s ready to get to work on a new set.
Will it be pop like her Wanted and her first two albums? Moody rock like her commercially slept on My December? Or country like her duet with Reba McEntire? As of now, it’s all of the above.
Clarkson describes the unfinished album’s progress and direction as “all over the place” in a new interview with Fuse and Billboard.com. “There’s everything from beats, to more singer/songwriter country stuff, to major pop stuff,” she explained.
Even though she admits she has “no idea what it’s going to sound like,” she already has songs written for the album. “We have several songs already penned for the next album. I’m always writing. I don’t think I ever stop.”
Currently, there is no timeframe for the album’s release.
Just in time for season 9 of American Idol, the original Idol Kelly Clarkson has joined Twitter. And fear not Kelly fans, this is no impostor, Kelly’s Twitter account has been confirmed as legit by her manager and the singer’s blog.
You can find the “Since U Been Gone” singer at @ Kelly_Clarkson. The original idol only has two Tweets so far, and she says she “make no promises, that I will say anything worth reading.” But we’ll be following avidly anyway.
Hopefully the original Idol takes some time to share her thoughts on this season of Idol hopefuls.
Warning: Do not mess with Kelly Clarkson. Especially if she’s signing your paycheck.
The American Idol fave has never been one to reserve judgment, and that clearly extends to her band members, as evidenced by this newly unearthed video from a 2005 performance, during which she fired her guitar player, Dwayne Larring, after he apparently made a rude gesture to the audience. Which Clarkson clearly wasn’t having any of.
Check out how Clarkson cans him, mid-song, without missing a beat, and even incorporates the sacking into the lyrics.
And then Clarkson gets really mean, delivering a spiel about Larring to the audience before dedicating “Breakaway” to his newly unemployed behind. Wow.Donald Trump clearly has nothing on this chick.
