First off, welcome back Melissa! Thank you, I try =] I love Kelly Source too, and it’s great that you’re staying with us. Between the both of us, we still have a lot of work to be done.

Second, I was walking down the supermarket, and Kelly’s face was on the cover of Reader’s Digest. Not cover sadly, just the small box in the corner. I didn’t buy it, but I did check out the article online – which talks about Kelly, pre-stardom. Here’s an excerpt:

Q. On your fan sites, people talk about how you’re like a sister to them.
A. Everyone says I’m down-to-earth. It would be very hard for me to keep up any sort of celebrity persona. It’s just not me. I’m comfortable in my skin. I’m outspoken. I don’t know any other way to be.

I kind of don’t recall saying we’re like sisters to Kelly, but it’s great to know that she’s thinking about us! There’s also …

Q. You have taken your share of lumps, especially around your weight. Does it mean a lot to you to show girls that you don’t have to be skinny to be successful?
A. I recently gave a self-esteem workshop for Girl Scouts in Nashville, and I told the girls that I wasn’t a role model for my weight, because I change. Sometimes I’m thicker when I’m around my family and I’m eating more. Sometimes I’m thinner because I’m on the road and that takes a lot out of me. But I do feel it’s important to talk to girls about weight. They see these images, and there’s no way they’ll ever live up to them. I want them to see someone who is real and know they don’t have to live up to anything.

I think that’s the best way to say something about yourself. Being completely honest – and modest.

Hello hello hello my lovely dedicated kelly-addicted visitors, I am back, I have been away just taking some time off from the online world, I needed a break to be quite honest.

Okay so first can I say I adore this layout and that Jannice is the best co-web a girl could ask for, thank you dearest!!!! You’ve done such a great job. My apologies for just disappearing into think air.

Okay so I’m looking to convert all the pages to wordpress, and we do have a media centre we obtained it from the kelly-element.net merge but its just not ready it needs to be upgraded and re-vamped then we’ll be able to go live with it. We are keeping its name Kelly Motion and I may buy a domain for it it just all depends on how popular it becomes. I also bought another kelly domain k-clarkson.org because I am going into my own hosting and I couldn’t take kellysource with me since I adopted the site and I was going to start over but to be quite honest this site is a huge part of me and I just love you all so much that I just can’t leave. Gertie has offered to have me stay on at FSN and I’m taking her up on it, that place has become my online family so its really nice to keep my connection with the place.

So anyway k-clarkson.org will be added as a alternative url momentarily I’ll let you all know when that happens.

Perez Hilton’s antics are getting worse, and Kelly just had to be brought in. Her opinion on something he said, caused her to say something that apparently has people split:

Perez Hilton shouldn’t count on Kelly Clarkson to rush to his defense anytime soon.

The American Idol alum spoke to Virgin Radio following Sunday’s Much Music Video Awards, and among the topics broached was the alleged assault perpetrated on Hilton by Black Eyed Peas general manager Polo Molina.

“I’m gonna be honest with you, he’s gonna get a lot of flowers—not Perez, the manager,” Clarkson laughs. “I do not think violence is the answer, but what did you expect? You can’t say that much crap about people without having to say something.” Check out video of the interview below:

According to Hilton, he was confronted by Molina and Black Eyed Peas frontman will.i.am for repeatedly calling BEP songstress “fugly” on his site. But then, Hilton says a lot of things.

Some of the comments on the news story are just ridiculous.

So Kelly lost the award to Lady Gaga, and Poker Face. But it’s alright, the performance was amazing. If you haven’t watched it yet, the Much Music Video Awards youtube channel provided it here. We’ve also got some pictures from the event:

UPDATE: Kelly Clarkson Is Much Music Ready!

First-ever American Idol Kelly Clarkson rehearses for her 2009 Much Music Awards performance on Saturday (June 20) in Toronto, Canada.

The show will air live TODAY (June 21) @ 9PM ET from MuchMusic’s Queen Street West HQ in downtown Toronto. The Jonas Brothers will be hosting the event.

On Monday, Kelly is also expected to perform on Live With Regis and Kelly. Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is also a guest on the show that day.

Sorry for the lack of updates in the last two weeks! Can’t say that Kelly doesn’t have much – she actually has quite a lot. But creating a new layout, and fixing up all the deleted content seems to be taking longer than I thought. I apologize, and I’m getting straight back to work on it.

[edit:] NEW LAYOUT UP! As you can see. It’s still uncompleted, but because I love it so much and I just wanted to get it up, I put it up. Because of my stupidity, I deleted the old sidebar information, and I’m going to be editing it over the next couple of hours – possibly into tomorrow as well. But  I’d love to hear your opinions on the current layout. BTW, the navigation links are currently turned off only because I’m trying to figure out what I did with them. Have fun!
