CMT is honoring Reba McEntire as its first “Giant” in a two-hour special that will feature Faith Hill, Trisha Yearwood, Kelly Clarkson, Martina McBride, Brooks & Dunn, Jennifer Nettles and LeAnn Rimes paying homage to the redhead by singing her hits. Taped with a live audience in October at Kodak Theater in Hollywood, “CMT Giants” will be an evening of tributes and tunes, both from the star and her admirers. Since her three-decade career has spanned Broadway, television, movies and music, expect additional names from those areas to emerge as soon as they are confirmed. This is the first show of this nature that CMT has ever built around one living artist. air date: Nov 18.
